You will find the various leagues, national, county and domestic competitions, county fixtures, teams and results. Alongside these we have some of our past records and honours.
Bowls Bedfordshire is affiliated to Bowls England, the governing body for flat green lawn bowls in England. We are also affiliated to the Eastern Counties BA.
Our members compete at the highest level and we can proudly boast having many members reaching the latter stages of the National Championships over the last few years including several National Champions.
In Bedfordshire we have 37 Clubs, most of which have both Men and Ladies as members. In age range bowlers can be from 10 to 90 years of age. This site can help bowlers to connect with their local club for coaching as beginners or experienced bowlers, new to the area, looking for a Bedfordshire club. Please look on our "find a club" page in the Information section.
We hope you find what you are looking for. However, if you think something else would improve our site, we are always open to suggestions, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

Warm Greetings to all Bedfordshire Bowlers
We all find ourselves in a very perilous situation due to Covid19, my sympathy to anyone who has lost a loved one due to this pandemic. The light at the end of this very long tunnel is the rolling out of the vaccines. This gives us hope that we can look forward to a season’s bowling in 2021.
I am honoured to be your President and look forward to representing the County during 2021. This will be a season of recovery, I am looking forward to meeting and playing with as many of you as possible. I know I will value our great sport of bowls even more and I hope you all will after this pandemic. Due to the work put in by members of the Executive we are ready for the season and I thank them and I know I can look forward to their much needed support.
I welcome Sally Law, our new County Administrator and Keith Jones, our new County Secretary and wish them well . On behalf of the County my thanks to Peter Lee who has filled these positions and others including that of President over the last 13 years.
My charity will be Cancer Research most of us know of someone who has suffered the effects of this dreadful affliction so I hope we can play our small part in helping to eradicate it.
My best wishes to our lady President Barbara Carter who has agreed to stay in post for 2021.
I hope you all stay safe and well and I look forward to raising a glass or two with you having a laugh and above all enjoying the wonderful game of bowls.
WOW what a fantastic amount was raised for Tibbs Dementia at my Charity Fun Day on the 21st June at Wilstead. Non-bowlers have seen it on Facebook since and donated, so the total is well over £700 now.
The Ladies Executive Committee worked extremely hard before, during and after the day and they have my heartfelt thanks, as do all the generous ladies who came and brought raffle prizes and bought tickets.
Despite the cold weather I have heard that people enjoyed themselves, which was one of the aims.
We have three County Games to look forward to plus the Johns Trophy.
Good luck to the ladies playing in these games. Hard luck to the Walker Cup team who lost on the last wood of the last end - it was exciting for the spectators but very disappointing for Bedfordshire.
Hopefully, my President’s Day and the Church Service can go ahead, but we will of course keep an eye on current restrictions at the appropriate times.
