Colin is Ampthill Bowls Clubs longest serving member having joined the club in the 1970s and has been on the committee at the club ever since in many capacities until 2019. Colin decided to stand down from the committee in 2019 but agreed to advise the very new incoming President should this be needed.
Colin received Life Membership in 2019 for services to the club that year in recognition of the sterling work he had done for both the club and the members over the years. Colin has been invaluable to the club during this time in its progression and continuation both on and off the green.
Colin has served as Captain a few times over the years along with many other positions. Also, getting working parties going at the club and was also dealt with many tasks including the extension to the pavilion in the 1980s.
Colin and his Wife, Glen, are approachable and helpful to new bowlers. He is a great ambassador for the Club and the game of bowls.
