Bowls Bedfordshire White Rose Trophy Report

Report on White Rose Trophy which took place on 31st May & 1st June at Royston Bowls Club.

Well done to our squad of 7 under 24’s who took part in this competition against 5 other teams (4 counties, Herts had 2 teams).

They played very well against internationals, national and county champions. Some of our group only met each other 3 weeks ago and never played in a game together. They all supported each other and enjoyed the atmosphere of a competitive tournament for their first time.

They had 1 overall win against Herts B and shared Sets with the opposition in several others but lost out on the overall game points when all scores were added up. We finally ended up in 5th position in the league table. We believe we have a squad on which we can build for future years in the under 24’s.
