Today was the final competition in the Bowls Bedfordshire calendar, the last 8 for this competition.
Bedford Priory lost to Potton, Maulden lost to Flitwick, Houghton Regis lost to Barton le Clay and Dunstable lost to Ampthill. The semi finals were very entertaining with Barton losing by one shot to Potton and Ampthill losing to Flitwick.
The final between Potton and Flitwick started badly for Flitwick who lost five on the first end but after that they fought back and narrowly lost by 12 shots to 14.
This was a very competitive day with some great bowling by all concerned. Our thanks to Great Barford for hosting this day and to Sylvia Ranns for umpiring.
